The Elk City Chamber of Commerce’s Breakfast Club was held in Homestead Assisted Living of Elk City last Thursday morning. The assisted living center provided breakfast for local businesses and chamber members. Emcee Basil Weatherly opened the meeting, while the invocation was given by Kevin Akins, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church, and Weatherly led the flag salute.

The event was held on Sept. 23 at the Wes Watkins Center on the campus of Oklahoma State University in Stillwater.

On Thursday, October 5, 2023, the officers of the Business Professionals of America (BPA) were officially installed. The ceremony was held in the seminar room of the Western Technology Center (WTC) in Sayre. The ceremony involved a candle lighting ritual for each of the officers installed.
