Canute Varsity Trojans blew out Merritt Varsity Oilers 12-2 on Friday.

Elk City Varsity Elks defeated Shattuck Indians 11-7 on Saturday after taking the lead late in the game. Elk City Varsity Elks trailed 6-5 in the bottom of the fourth inning when Aiden Hopper homered on a 3-1 count, scoring three runs.

Sayre Varsity Lady Eagles claimed a 9-5 victory on Thursday, despite a big push by Thomas in the first inning. #12, #3, and #10 all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Sayre Varsity Lady Eagles had a tough time generating runs on Tuesday, dropping their game with Merritt Oilerettes SP Varsity 9-1.

The Elkettes travelled to Stillwater on Saturday. The team had to leave early, so Coach Poole did not have the final results as far as ranking.

I recently received this email from a worried parent: “Dr. Dixie, technology causes constant contention with my teenagers. Cell phones make it easier to sync our schedules, but it seems I’m always talking to the top of their heads while they stare at their phones! When I insist they put the phones down, there’s an argument. I just want to “unplug” sometimes! Where do I even start?”

With the legislative process progressing, I want to explain one of the more confusing parts of the legislative process this week: “striking title.”

This year the event is April 21, at 6 p.m. till midnight at the SWOSU Wellness center. The theme is Fight for a Cure (Boxing), and we will have free food and drinks, booths with games and prizes, games, luminary for sell, and more!
