I hope this letter finds you enjoying your summer vacation. I am delighted to extend my warmest welcome to you as we commence another exciting academic year at Sayre HS/MS. We hope you had a restful and enjoyable summer break and are now ready to embark on a year filled with new opportunities and achievements.
Sayre HS/MS School holds a special place in our hearts, and it is with great anticipation and enthusiasm that we anticipate the return of our dedicated faculty, passionate staff, and, most importantly, our talented and vibrant students.
As we resume classes, I encourage all members of the Sayre community to embrace the spirit of collaboration, respect, and resilience. Together, we can overcome any obstacles that come our way and achieve remarkable accomplishments. Our dedicated faculty members are fully prepared to provide engaging and innovative instruction, while our staff is committed to supporting the diverse needs of our students.
I want to introduce everyone to new faces that will be a part of the Eagle Family. Krystal Bawden will be teaching 6th Math along with assisting in our Softball Program. Dakin Harris will teach Freshmen and Sophomores English and help coach football and basketball. Tiffany Hayes will be teaching 7th-grade Math. Catherine York will be leading our AP English and Senior English. Hayley Winn will be our new Librarian and District Test Coordinator. Please stop by and welcome them to our family.
As we get closer, I want to remind parents that the portal, which is located on the school website, will become active on July 31st. Parents of new and existing students will need to log in and update all information for their students. New parents will need to request a new account, and then they can provide all the required information. If you need help with this, please stop by the HS/MS offices. Chrome week for all students will be August 7th-11th from 9:00 am to 3:30 each day. Physicals for all athletes and band members in grades 5-12 will be Friday, August 4th, starting at 6:00 pm in the HS/MS lobby.
Lastly, I express my sincere gratitude to all the faculty, staff, parents, and community partners who have worked tirelessly to ensure the success of Sayre HS/MS School. Your unwavering commitment and dedication have been instrumental in shaping the lives of our students, and we are immensely grateful for your continued support.
Once again, welcome back to the 23-24 school year! I eagerly look forward to witnessing the accomplishments and growth of our exceptional students in the coming year. Should you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact me or any administrative team member.
We wish you a productive and fulfilling academic year.
