“Sovereign Citizen” defendant found guilty by jury in last week’s trial

Oklahoma will become the first state in the nation to require a work zone and first responder safety course for teen drivers. The law, set to take effect Nov. 1, 2023, will require all Oklahoma teens to complete the free online Oklahoma Work Zone Safe Course before applying for their Class D intermediate driver license.

The Sayre Eagle football team entertained the local fans that made the long trip to Texoma by blitzing the Red Devils by the score of 30 to 8 last Friday evening. Although Sayre lost 4 fumbles during the game, Hunter Hanrahan evened the books by intercepting three passes with two of those leading to touchdowndrivesof 66 and 21 yards. Hanrahans accomplishment put him in the company of 4 other Eagles who hold the record for interceptions in one game. Chad Kelley in 1992 against Waurika, Jason Keiner in 1996 and Jered Marriott in 2001 both against Bridge Creek and Trevor Lowry in 2006 against Snyder.
