Interstate 40 can be a dangerous road for vehicles parked along side it.

That was reportedly the case for a stationary Dodge Ram on March 29 after it was struck by a semi truck at approximately 5:25 pm. The Dodge Ram was pulling a trailer.

According to the probable cause affidavit, the incident happened near the 20mile marker.

Upon arrival, the investigating Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper reportedly found the Dodge Ram’s driver with blood upon his face and abrasion on his body.

The man reportedly stated that while he was on the left side of his trailer, he was hit either by a semi or its trailer.

The alleged victim was placed on a backboard and driven to a landing zone nearly Highway 66 South El Camino.

The alleged victim was then transported to OU Medical Center by a medical evacuation helicopter.

While investigating the damage, the trooper noticed damage to the driver-side rear of the trailer and a broken mirror that appeared to be from the semi.

Wheeler County was advised to be on the lookout for a white semi missing a passenger-side mirror.

Wheeler County deputies stopped a semi matching the description.

The driver was identified as Najot Singh from California.

Singh reportedly stated that he knew he had hit a vehicle on the side of the road, but stated he could not find a place to exit.

Singh allegedly stated that he called his company about the damage and the company advised for his to replace the mirror.

“I advised Singh that he was not under arrest due to him making it into Texas. I notified Singh of a warrant being issued for his arrest for leaving the scene of an accident resulting in injury,” the trooper wrote.
