Surrounded by family and friends Odell passed away peacefully April 28, 2024, while in the care of Faith Presbyterian Hospice, Rockwall, Texas. Odell fought the hardest fight of his life against the rarest of skin cancers, Merkel Cell Carcinoma.

Lankford, Sinema Call for Answers from Top Admin Officials on Jordanian Nationals Attempt to Enter Quantico

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Senators James Lankford (R-OK) and Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ) today sent a letter to Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, and FBI Director Christopher Wray to request a briefing and information regarding two Jordanian nationals who attempted to enter Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia.

Berlin Community News

Berlin Community Building will host the annual fundraiser dinner on June 8, 2024, at 6:00 pm. The monies raised will be used for the upkeep of the building and to continue the monthly dinners. As money is available, building improvements are completed. The menu will consist of chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, rolls, salad, homemade desserts and is by donation.

Sayre man charged with pointing firearm, threatening violence

A 64-year-old Sayre man has been released from the Beckham County Detention Center after being charged with planning an act of violence, feloniously pointing a firearm, and threatening to perform an act of violence. If convicted, Kevin Ray Powers will face up to ten years in prison. The investigation reportedly began on May 11 when the Sayre Police were called to the 800 block of North Second Street.
