SOCCER… AKA “Futbol”
SOCCER… AKA “Futbol”

Futbol is the team sport most played around the world, yet, it is not as popular in the United States. Many highs schools do not have a soccer team, let alone two, as Elk City High School has. Probably the reason is that sports fans think that futbol is boring because usually there are very few scores made, as it is not uncommon to have games of 0-0, 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1; but, in the opinion of fans, that is exactly what makes it interesting, because it is so difficult to score. Proudly, Elk City High School has both, a girls’ team and a boys’ team. The boys are coached by Jason Xenos, and the girls are coached by Zak Stamm.

To Fear Or Not To Fear
To Fear Or Not To Fear

I get many questions about biblical “contradictions.” . The supposed contradictions are usually mixed with nagging anxiety. Wrong fear is like a fog that creates confusion and even more afraid-ness. A reader asks: “Dr. Dixie, the Bible tells us that we are to fear God, but on the other hand, not to be anxious. I often feel anxious when I think about God, so how can I be both fearful and not fearful? This seems like another time when the Bible contradicts itself!”
