Masonic Fraternity of Oklahoma Providing Funding for Services Not Covered by Other Agencies

The Masonic Fraternity of Oklahoma is once again partnering with the South Western Oklahoma Development Authority (SWODA) Area Agency on Aging (AAA), along with other Area Agencies on Aging across the state, to assist with funding direct services for people 55 years of age and older in need of some type assistance not otherwise provided by other agencies.

Oklahoma Bar Association To Reimburse Client Losses

Ninety people who lost money or other property through the death or dishonest conduct of their attorney will have their losses reimbursed by the Oklahoma Bar Association this year. The OBA Clients’ Security Fund will pay out more than $210,000 to those clients of deceased, suspended or former lawyers whose actions led to the losses.

TULSA - Today, the Oklahoma Equality Law Center along with Oklahoma Appleseed Center for Law and Justice jointly filed suit against State Superintendent Ryan Walters and the entire State Board of Education, on behalf of a student for the violation of the Oklahoma Administrative Procedures Act, violation of their rights under the Equal Protection clause of the Oklahoma & Federal Constitutions, for gender discrimination under Title IX, and for a violation of the Oklahoma Parents’ Bill of Rights.

The meeting was called to order by the Regent Kay Hagerman, who, with the assistance of Chaplain Judy Tracy opened with the DAR ritual. Followed by the Pledge of Allegiance, American’s Creed, Christmas melody, The Preamble to the Constitution and the Oklahoma Flag Salute.
