OKLAHOMA CITY – The Sayre Public Works Authority (Authority) received approval for $950,000 in funding Tuesday from the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB) to improve the Authority’s water metering infrastructure. Upgrades to the system will be financed by a 100% principal forgiveness loan through the Oklahoma Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF).

The Board of Education of Sayre Public School District hereby announces that statutorily qualified individuals interested in running as a candidate for the #4 seat on the Sayre Board of Education may file to run as a candidate for this seat at the Beckham County Election Board between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday, December 4 through Wednesday, December 6, 2023.
On October 13, an arrest warrant was issued for a Wewoka man in the Beckham County District Court after being charged with first-degree burglary and use of a firearm while committing a felony.
Prior to opening the commissioners’ meeting, Western Technology Center’s Business and Industry Director, Danny Britton, presented Dr. Dennis Friesen with an appreciation plaque for his years of service as the medical doctor for WTC’s EMS program. The Commissioners congratulated him for his service, not only for this award but for the years of serving as the medical director for the Elk City Fire Department.
