Artist Registration Open for Annual State Waterfowl Art Contest; $1,200 Goes to Winner
Every year for the past 43 years, Oklahoma has conducted an annual Waterfowl Stamp Design Contest to celebrate great artwork and raise funds for wetland habitat projects across the state. Artists may register online right now for this year's contest. Artwork entries are due by Aug. 31.

Environmental law enforcement is the focus of free, upcoming seminar

Elk City man jailed for second-degree burglary
A 35-year-old Elk City man is being held on a $6,000 bond after being charged with second-degree burglary and possession of burglary tools.

Elk City man charged with violation of a protective order, first-degree burglary
A 21-year-old Elk City man has been released from the Beckham County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond after being charged with first-degree burglary and violation of a protective order. The investigation began at approximately 8 am on May 28 when the Elk City Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Oakridge Drive for a report of a breaking and entering. The alleged break-in was reportedly not in progress at the time of the call.
