A 54-year-old Weatherford man has been released from the Beckham County Detention Center after being jailed for one count of second-degree burglary.

Mark Edward Blevins was released on a $5,000 bail.

The investigation began on October 9 when the Beckham County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a storage company in Elk City.

Charges were officially filed in the Beckham County District Court on November 6.

When the investigation began, the BCSO investigator was reportedly shown security camera footage from September 9.

In it, a four-door vehicle was reportedly seen as a male was walking around the storage units.

“It looked like the male was tampering with RVs that are parking in the parking lot,” the investigator wrote.

The investigator was shown a pry bar that was allegedly found lying on the ground.

The pry bar was bagged and saved for evidence. No fingerprints were located or found.

On October 5, a customer reportedly texted the owner to inform that someone had allegedly tried to break into their boat’s locked compartment.

“The locks were damaged and bent,” the investigator added.

The owner was reportedly able to identify that Blevins had entered the gate using his code at the time.

Blevins is due back in court on January 22.
