NORTHEAST Kaw: August 20. Elevation is 1 ft. above normal and falling, water temperature 88°F and stained. (USACE Lake Level) Striped bass hybrids and white bass fair on crankbaits, cut bait, jerk baits, jigs, live bait, live shad, spoons, and topwater lures around main lake, points, and riprap. Crappie good on grubs, hair jigs, jigs, live bait, minnows, small lures, spoons, and tube jigs around brush structure, creek channels, riprap, and standing timber. Blue, channel, and flathead catfish excellent on crawfish, cut bait, grasshoppers, live bait, live shad, shad, stinkbait, sunfi sh, and worms around creek channels, main lake, river channel, river mouth, rocks, and shorelines. Comments: Thermocline remains around 15 ft. Setting juglines with hooks below 15 ft. will result in dead/wasted fish. OKLAHOMA CITY (August 21, 2023) – The Oklahoma Beef Council is pleased to announce an online payment system for the Beef Checkoff. The payment process is facilitated by the Bank of Oklahoma through its partnership with Transfund, one of the leading ATM networks and debit, credit, and merchant payments processors in the nation. A secure system for credit card and ACH payments was OBC’s priority when setting up this system. Joe Francis, native of Beckham County, went to be with our Lord on August 18. Joe was born December 20, 1931, in his parents’ home in Texola to Earl and Sybil Francis where Earl was serving as an accomplished Banker and County Commissioner. The family moved to Sayre a few years later where Earl was elected to serve 4 terms as County Sheriff.
