Largemouth bass, crappie, and saugeye slow on crankbaits, hair jigs, lipless baits, minnows, plastic baits, PowerBait, and small lures around brush structure, docks, main lake, points, shorelines, and weed beds. Striped bass hybrids and white bass fair on crankbaits, lipless baits, plastic baits, and small lures around docks, main lake, and rocks. Blue and channel catfish fair on chicken liver, cut bait, dough bait, live bait, minnows, shrimp, stinkbait, and worms around creek channels, docks, main lake, rocks, and shorelines. On Friday morning, in the Commons at Elk City High School, Elk City High School Senior, Remi Murray, daughter of Melody and Jarrod Murray, signed letters of intent scholarship with Southern Nazarene University Remi will be competing in pole vault for the SNU track team. Her coach will be Mark Heard, former ECHS track coach and Oklahoma Track and Field Hall of Famer.

On Thursday, in the Commons at Elk City High School, Coleman “Kash” Mayfield officially signed his letters of intent to pitch for Oklahoma State University Kash has been a nationally recognized pitcher for several years during his junior high and high school career. He has played in tournaments and leagues throughout the country but is most proud to pitch for his school team, the Big Elks, under Head Coach Jay McClure.
