The Sayre Eagles raised their conference record to 6 wins against one loss last week by storming past Blair on Tuesday in a 21 to 3 offensive show. The following Thursday the Eagles met Hobart on the Bearcat field for the second match up in the season in a non-conference tilt.

Willis started on the mound and threw 2 1/3 innings giving up Hobarts only hit, but struck out three batters while walking 2. The Eagles were leading in the game in the third inning 8 to 0 when Simpson came in and finished the job in the remaining 1 and 2/3 innings. He only faced 7 batters striking out 2 and walking one.

K.K. Beaird and Willis both were 3 for 3 at the plate with Willis scoring 3 runs and Beaird 4 runs off his three hits and one walk.

In the game against Blair the Eagles were just as over powering on offense as they rapped out 15 hits and collected 13 walks to put up their 21 runs in the game. Tate Bawden, Simpson and Willis each obtained 3 hits.
Curtis was moved up to the 4 hole spot in the batting order in the Blair game and he responded by scoring 5 runs on his 6 trips to the plate. Cam Plummer, Bawden and Hanrahan each scored 3 runs.
Simpson got the start on the mound and worked the first 3 innings before Willis came on in relief and handled the next 2 innings before giving way to Bawden for innings number 6 and 7.
