We officially started session on February 5 with the Governor’s annual State of the State Address.

A 33-year-old Elk City man is being held on a $50,000 bond in the Beckham County Detention Center after being charged with possession of a synthetic controlled substance with the intent to distribute and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Elk City School Board met at 6 pm on Monday, February 12 for its regularly scheduled meeting.

The Beckham County Stock show begins on Sunday, 2/25 and lasts through Tuesday, 2/27.

As prom approaches, the Elk City High School’ s Fashion Design class has been designing their own newspaper formal gowns under the direction of their teacher, Brycee Bonner. The class was randomly put into two different fashion teams to approach the project. They were given their instructions and then started the project.
