I am thrilled to extend a heartfelt welcome to all SHS alumni as they come home for our much-anticipated annual alumni weekend. This event is a fantastic opportunity for each of you to reconnect with old friends and family and reminisce about those cherished moments from our high school days.
This weekend is jam-packed with exciting events and activities. From the traditional alumni parade and luncheon to the annual golf tournament and Easter egg hunt, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Our luncheon, taking place in our newly renovated cafeteria, promises delicious food and serves a noble cause, as proceeds will support our After Prom activities. Exciting developments are underway at Sayre Schools, including the completion of our state-of-the-art track on the east end of campus. This impressive facility will soon host our first track meets and is sure to be a source of pride for our student-athletes and community. Our students continue to achieve remarkable success across various endeavors this spring. From the Pride of Sayre Band and SHS Choir’s stellar performances at the district and state contests to the success of our robotics program at the state level, our students are consistently raising the bar. Our spring sports teams, as well as those involved in shooting sports, powerlifting, and livestock shows, have also been shining brightly this spring, showing promise and bringing home numerous accolades. It’s truly been an exceptional start to the spring season for Sayre students!
As both the superintendent of Sayre Schools and an SHS alumnus, I am genuinely excited to welcome each and every one of you back home. I hope you have safe travels and that this weekend is filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories in Sayre!
