You can Help with Spring Needs

Facilities work with their residents to provide activities and projects to keep residents involved and engaged with life. An important part of this is offering opportunities for activities and projects.

Facilities work with their residents to provide activities and projects to keep residents involved and engaged with life. An important part of this is offering opportunities for activities and projects.

Many residents enjoy caring for flower or vegetable gardens. Some facilities have large spaces, and some have smaller, but all welcome seedlings, seeds, potting soil, gardening tools and gloves so residents can do gardening if they wish.

Spring crafts are important too so supplies to assist with craft projects are also welcomed.

Bird Feeders, spring wreaths, candy, and spring holiday decorations such as Easter Bunnies and baskets. Each facility in the southwestern area of the state has Easter parties and Easter egg hunts for residents and their families and friends.

Get in touch with your area long-term care facility and see what their needs are this spring. If you have time, most facilities could use help with activities or providing entertainment.

Long-term care does not mean sadness, gloom and just sitting in a recliner. There are many residents in long-term care that enjoy being busy and doing things that they love.
