Sayre’s 92nd Alumni Celebration

The Sayre Alumni Association would like to welcome everyone to the 92nd Annual Sayre Alumni Weekend. The Sayre Alumni committee is fueled by the heart of the following volunteers: Mireya Cotts (1993), Brandi Hibler (1993), Billie Cook (1960), Brittany Hill (2007), Keeley Sanders (2007), Staci Diltz (1989) and Amy Hawley (1993). The Association is a nonprofit organization always looking for people to volunteer and keep our tradition going, to have plenty of people who can work together to keep activities running smoothly, is a blessing in itself. We would like to ask for our Alumni to pay your $10 dues, to help us keep the tradition going, please fill out the form and include your email, in order to receive a quarterly newsletter that we are working to implement soon.

This year starting off with activities, the Sayre Alumni Basketlball Game will be Friday night, March 29 at 6:30 pm at the Sayre High School Gym, players entry is $10, gym will be open at 6:00 pm. The Alumni parade will kick off at 10:30 am, Saturday morning, lineup will begin at 9:30 am, please be sure to stop at the sign in table at the activity barn to get your number in the parade. During the parade be sure to stop off at the Cystic Fibrosis Bake sale in honor of Team Camo, the sale will be located in front of InterBank, Saturday morning 9:30 am to 12:00 pm. Also, during the parade Sonic has teamed up with Sayre Schools to have classes decorate a cherry jar. They are looking for votes on the best decorated jar, for classes to win a slush party at school. During the parade the Alumni King and Queen will be crowned. One Senior boy and one Senior Girl was chosen out of all the seniors that wrote essays to win a $500 Alumni Scholarship and being crowned King and Queen. The Alumni Committee had a few educators judge the essays.The 2024 Sayre Alumni Court is Emma Ferrero, Brooklynn Gatto, Makenna Valdez, Jose Flores, Devin Mosser and Ayden Hendershot.

The After prom parents have been working hard to get the Alumni Luncheon ready to go, the luncheon will be at 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. This year the menu has pulled pork, baked beans, potato salad, roll, dessert and a drink for $12.00, located at the Sayre Schools Cafeteria. Everyone is welcome to come out and support the Sayre After Prom. The Alumni committee will be giving out prizes for the Alumni who drove the furthest and the oldest at the luncheon.

The Sayre Alumni Golf tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 1:00 pm. This will be a 2-man scramble $100 per team.

The Sayre Alumni Co-Ed Softball Tournament will begin at 12:00 pm at the Sayre High School softball field, always a good time and free admission. A concession stand will be available with all proceeds going to the Softball program.

The Annual East Egg hunt will be at 3:00 pm SHARP at the Sayre High School Football Field! The Easter bunny will be available after the hunt for pictures, sections include: Special Section, 0-2 years, 3-5 years, 6-8 years and 9-11 years. The Alumni committee and volunteers will be putting out 5,000 easter eggs.

The Evening will wind down at the Sayre National Alumni Bash with the Dean Jackson Band beginning at 8:00 pm to midnight, $10 wristband can be pre-purchased at the clubhouse or purchased at the door, must be 21+, food trucks will be available.
