Elk City man held on $100,000 bond after being charged with assault and battery with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill

The Elk City Commissioners met for their regular meeting Wed., May 16th, at 2 p.m. in City Hall with all commissioners present. Mayor Corey Spieker opened the meeting with an invocation, which was followed by the flag salute led by Rod Carver. The first order of business was the approval of the minutes from the May 1st meeting.

With the Memorial Day holiday coming up, this column will have to be turned in by noon this coming Thursday, 5/25, in order to be out on time for next week’s edition, as they won’t be printing on Monday, 5/29.
