A 31-year-old Sayre woman has been released from the Beckham County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond after being charged with child neglect.

The Sayre First United Methodist Church is offering a scholarship in the amount of $3000 for the spring semester. It is for adults seeking to further their education. This scholarship is for those residing in Beckham & Roger Mills County and may be used at a Career Tech school, University or Jr. College. A 19-year-old Elk City man is being held in the Beckham County Detention Center on a combined $150,000 bond after being charged with first-degree rape.

The Sayre All-Sports Association is dedicated to helping the school, coaches, and students bridge the funding gaps that sometimes appear when students are participating in sports.

The Department of Biological and Biomedical Sciences at Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) actively engaged students in handson ecology and environmental science activities during Innovation Week 2023.
