A 23-year-old man has an outstanding warrant after being charged with multiple theft crimes.
The investigation began on February 16 when the alleged victim, born in 1939, came to the Elk City Police Department to say her checkbook was missing and someone had been using it.
The woman claimed she had accidentally left it in Walmart, but that it had been used in multiple places since.
The investigator was able to talk with managers at Ace Hardware in Elk to see who used the checkbook.
The footage reportedly showed Colby Ray Speed.
Walmart’s surveillance allegedly showed Speed taking the alleged victim’s purse.
McDonald’s also had footage that allegedly showed Speed using her card.
