Rep. Josh West, Sen. Stanley Comment on Deadline for Disabled Veterans Sales Tax Exemptions

OKLAHOMA CITY – Rep. Josh West, R-Grove, and Sen. Brenda Stanley, R-Midwest City, today released the following statement after hearing from numerous 100% disabled veterans across Oklahoma who were unaware of the new July 2023 deadline to apply for the annual sales tax exemption. The deadline was put in place by Senate Bill 415, which became law in 2021.

Elk City Leadership Hall of Fame Inductees Announced

Elk City - The Elk City Leadership Hall of Fame 2023 Inductees are Bill Ansley, Bill Khourie and Danny McClure. They will officially be inducted Tuesday, January 9, 2024, between the Elkettes and Elks Basketball Games at the Pioneer Center along with a reception honoring them 5-6 pm, also at the Pioneer Center downstairs in the hospitality room. Family and Friends are welcome to attend. Qualifications for honorees include…have been a resident or have worked in Elk City and ideally have attended Elk City Schools at some point. They must have brought positive pride and recognition to Elk City for exemplary leadership in their chosen occupation leading to city/state and/or national achievement.

DEAR ABBY: My boyfriend of three years works six days a week with Sundays off. For the last six weeks, my calls have gone unanswered from Saturday evening through Monday morning. (USACE Lake Level) White bass fair on Alabama rigs, crankbaits, and plastic baits around channels and main lake. Crappie fair on hair jigs, minnows, and tube jigs around brush structure, docks, and main lake. Blue catfish good on shad around channels and main lake.
