Manning re-elected to Beckham County Sheriff’s Office

County mirrors state on statewide elections

In the Beckham County Sheriff ’s race, incumbent Derek Manning only drew a primary opponent.

This means after last night’s Republican primary race for that seat, which he ran against fellow Republican Wes Henry, Manning can be sworn into another fouryear term.

This will be Manning’s third term. Manning won by a significant margin of 65.23%, or 891 votes.

Henry received 34.77%, or 475 votes.

All precincts have reported. In the Republican primary for United States Representative for Congressional District 3, incumbent Congressman Frank Lucas won handily in Beckham County and throughout CD3.

In Beckham, Lucas received 74.33;%, or 996 votes.

His primary opponents were Robin Lynn Carder and Darren Hamilton.

Hamilton received 14.25%, of 191 votes.

Carder received 11.42%, or 153 votes.

In the Corporation Commissioner race, J. Brian Bingman won 56.01%, or 727 votes.

Justin Hornback received 26.04%, or 338 votes.

Russell Ray received 17.95%, or 233 votes.
