Both the 6U and 10U Sayre softball girls reportedly achieved important wins last weekend, often facing off against older teams and travel ball teams.

Merritt second graders learn about fossils

Earlier this year, the Merritt Oilerettes brought home the gold ball as the Oklahoma 2A Girls State Champions.

The Sayre Eagles raised their conference record to 6 wins against one loss last week by storming past Blair on Tuesday in a 21 to 3 offensive show. The following Thursday the Eagles met Hobart on the Bearcat field for the second match up in the season in a non-conference tilt.

Both Sayre High School golf teams have qualified for the regional golf tournament.

The Canute Trojans won their last game 21-3 against the Seiling Wildcats.

Last Thursday, the Elk City Elks baseball team beat Bethany 5-1.
