Wow, we are already in the second week of 2024! Time is going very fast I think with never enough time in each day. I have heard on the local news that we better gear up for winter finally hitting Western Oklahoma! It’s supposed to turn bitterly cold for several days, and possibly some snow falling here too.

Dr. Sherry Westmoreland, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU), recently concluded her role as an abstract reviewer for the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR). Scheduled for April 2024 in Long Beach, Calif., this conference serves as a significant platform for showcasing undergraduate research achievements.

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State University researchers have partnered with other state and federal entities to improve the management of water resources across the state.

Elk City - The Elk City Leadership Hall of Fame 2023 Inductees are Bill Ansley, Bill Khourie and Danny McClure. OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry is entering into a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service under the Resilient Food Systems Infrastructure (RFSI) Grant Program. More than $6.3 million is available in competitive grant funding for projects designed to build resilience across the middle of the supply chain.

This is the transitional time of each year when we consider more seriously how we’re going to begin the New Year, and what we’d like to change in the days ahead. I often hear frustration that New Year’s resolutions don’t last much past the middle of February. Consequently people often give up before they begin and don’t even bother to set any kind of goal.
