Fishing Report

NORTHWEST Foss: February 19. Elevation is 0.5 ft. below normal and stable, water temperature 41°F and clear. (USACE Lake Level) Walleye fair on worms around main lake. Striped bass hybrids good in deep water. Crappie fair at 40-50 ft. deep. Catfish fair on stinkbait. Report submitted by Clint Carpenter, game warden stationed in Custer County.

SOUTHWEST Waurika: February 17. Elevation is 4 ft. below normal and stable, water temperature 45°F and murky. Largemouth bass and crappie fair on crankbaits, minnows, plastic baits, PowerBait, and small lures around brush structure, main lake, points, and shorelines. Striped bass hybrids, white bass, and saugeye fair on crankbaits, lipless baits, minnows, plastic baits, and small lures around main lake, points, and rocks. Blue and channel catfish fair on cut bait, dough bait, minnows, punch bait, stinkbait, and worms around creek channels, docks, main lake, rocks, and shorelines. SOUTHEAST Blue River: February 20. Elevation is normal and stable, water temperature 55°F and clear. (USGS Lake Level) Rainbow trout excellent on in-line spinnerbaits, midges, nymphs, PowerBait, spoons, and worms around brush structure, channels, creek channels, river channel, and rocks. Report submitted by Ethan Lovelace, biologist at the Blue River Public Fishing and Hunting Area.

Eufaula: February 16. Elevation is normal and stable, water temperature 42°F and stained. (USACE Lake Level) Largemouth, smallmouth, and spotted bass fair on crankbaits, jigs, lipless baits, plastic baits, and worms around channels, main lake, points, and riprap. Blue, channel, and flathead catfi sh fair on cut bait, live bait, live shad, shad, and sunfish around main lake, river channel, and river mouth. Crappie good on hair jigs, minnows, and spoons around brush structure, channels, docks, and riprap. Report submitted by Jake Rowland, game warden stationed in McIntosh County.
