Republican governors, including Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt, bash Biden on energy policy
CHALMETTE, Louisiana – Republican governors, including Gov. Kevin Stitt, banded together Monday to pound away at the Biden administration’s energy policy. In a letter to the White House, 20 GOP state leaders call on the president “to pursue an allof- the-above energy approach that will promote homegrown energy that benefits all Americans.” With a diesel refinery outside New Orleans as their backdrop, eight governors held a news conference to discuss their strategy to “unleash American energy,” largely based on talking points from the letter.

Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education approve Artificial Intelligence Degrees
The Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education recently approved artificial intelligence (AI) degree programs at Rose State College, Southwestern Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma. The programs are the first undergraduate AI degrees offered in the state.

Elk City man mediflighted after collision between tractor and semi-truck
A collision at approximately 3:20 pm on May 31 on the intersection of East 1220 Road and Highway 34, approximately two miles north of Carter, resulted in a local farmer being medifl ighted to OU Medical Center with head and external trunk injuries.

Seven habits of unhappy people
Happiness is a state of being that many people talk about and long for, but few truly experience it. As I work with people, something that has become clear to me is that unhappy people often exhibit many of the same character traits and habits. Now there’s no questions that we all have bad days, even weeks when we step into all seven areas that I’m going to mention this week. The difference between a happy and unhappy life is how long we stay there. So here is the first characteristic of an unhappy person: 1. You believe life is hard, and you expect it to be hard, and you resent that it really is hard.

Retired Colonel Doug Haught Talks D-Day at Memorial Ceremony
The annual Memorial Day Service was held at the Veterans’ Memorial at Fairlawn Cemetery, Monday, May 27th, at 10:30 a.m. Organizer Beckham County Sheriff Derek Manning welcomed the veterans and guests to the ceremony. He turned the program over to Shawn Wilson, who provided the sound system, and sang several patriotic songs.
