MARY ANN KILLIAN

Mary Ann Killian was born on November 30, 1938 to Homer and Ethel Holcomb in Washington D.C. She passed away February 6, 2025 in Elk City, OK at the age of 86 years, 2 months, and 7 days.

Mary Ann grew up in Sayre, OK. Growing up she was awarded many achievements, she was Little Miss Washington D.C. as a child, in high school she was Miss Sayre, and also Miss Irish Rose of Shamrock, TX. She attended public school in Sayre and graduated with the class of 1956. After high school, she attended Oklahoma University and then transferred to Tulsa University graduating with a Bachelors in Interior Design. She married Bob Brewer and to this union three sons were born Bret, Blake, Brooks. Bob and Mary Ann owned and operated multiple radio stations across Oklahoma.

In 1984, she married Cletis Killian. Mary Ann and Cletis owned a farming operation and exotic animal farm in Sayre. They raised every kind of animal imaginable on their farm. Killian Exotics was known nationwide for their animals, such as elk, ostriches, alligators, giraffes, camels to name just a few.

Mary Ann loved her family and spending time with her sons and grandkids. She also loved spending time with her “girly girls” where they gathered weekly at Doneta Nichols home for many laughs. She enjoyed technology and gadgets. Mary Ann was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sayre but listened to services from many sources including Trinity Fellowship, First Baptist in Sayre and Elk City.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Cletis Killian, parents, Homer and Ethel Holcomb, sister, Edwana Keith and brother, Gordon Holcomb, grandson Bane Brewer.

She is survived by her three sons Bret Brewer and wife Donna of Woodward, OK, Blake Brewer and wife Amber of Elk City, OK, and Brooks Brewer and wife Julie of Edmond, OK; stepdaughters Susan Bales and husband Doyle of Foss, OK, Cindy Steinfels of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Janie Sullivan and husband Pat of Weatherford, OK; grandchildren Kyle, Cody, Clint, Delon, Branson, Asher, Mike, Misty, Joey, Clay, Kylee, Jayton, Jane and a host of great grandchildren; special friend Paul Harless of Elk City; many nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
