Ofilia DeLeon
Ofilia grew up in the Millett, Texas area where she attended school. She worked with her parents in the fields and later also worked in a furniture store. It was in the furniture store where she met a gentleman by the name of Manuel DeLeon. Their relationship grew and they were later married on July 2, 1949 in Cotulla, Texas. After their marriage they made their home in Texas, Illinois and then back to Texas following employment. They began their family in 1950 with the birth of their first child. They moved to Erick, Oklahoma in 1974 doing what was best for the family, working and raising their family. Ofilia enjoyed working in her flower beds, gardening, quilting, and antique shopping. Ofilia’s love was always her Lord but a close second was her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, 1 son, Manuel DeLeon, Jr.; 1 daughter- in-law, Debbie DeLeon; and 1 granddaughter, Taylor Elizabeth Gibson.
