Billy Arthur Lemmon Jr., 60, of Sayre, Oklahoma was born on September 25, 1963 in Sentinel, Oklahoma. He is the son of Billy Arthur and Artie Mae (Newton) Lemmon. He went to walk the golden streets of Heaven on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Great Plains Regional Medical Center, Elk City Oklahoma surrounded by his loving family.

Billy met the love of his life, Leah Jan Sheperd and they were married on September 4, 1982 at the First Baptist Church, Elk City, Oklahoma. He was a heavy equipment operator for most his life and loved working.

He was a member of the National Riffle Association and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling. Most of all Billy loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 22, 2024 at First Baptist Church, Elk City, Oklahoma. Rev. Danny Ringer will officiate. Interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery, Elk City, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Richard and Tammy Dugger and the staff of Martin- Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma.

Cherishing his memory is his loving wife, Leah J. Lemmon of Sayre, Oklahoma; one son, Cody Lemmon and his wife, Kyra of Elk City, Oklahoma; one granddaughter, Zephie Lemmon of Elk City, Oklahoma and another on the way; one brother, Roy Lemmon and his wife, Teresa of Willow, Oklahoma; two sisters, Pam Lemmon and her husband, James of Vian, Oklahoma, and Cindy Biscoe and her husband, John of Sayre, Oklahoma; three nieces, Kelly Calvert and her husband, Glen of Durham, Oklahoma, Lindsay Biscoe of Prague, Oklahoma, and Michelle Lambert of Kentucky; and many other relatives and friends.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Billy Arthur and Artie Mae (Newton) Lemmon; and three sons, Billy Joe Lemmon, Brandon Wayne Lemmon and Matthew Jarrett Lemmon.
