Nelson Brasuell
Nelson Brasuell
Nelson Owned the Carter Cafe, in Carter Oklahoma for many years where he worked with his family. He enjoyed racing cars, music, cooking and spending time with his family. Especially his grandbabies who he would do anything and everything for.
Nelson was loved by those that knew him and he loved his community in Carter just as much.
One thing about Nelson is he loved his daughter’s, his strongest motivation in life was to provide the best life he could for them. Through every medical obstacle he has been faced with over the last 20 years, he made sure to win each battle for them. His body may have failed in the end but his persistance never did. You can believe this won’t stop him either and will always be there with them in spirit.
Those who know Nelson, know he can be a bit stubborn so stubborn in fact his response to us telling him we loved him was his favorite word “Dido” which in Nelson’s language meant he loved us too. If you got the pleasure to be taught something by Nelson he would say “listen and learn don’t listen and respond”. Did we always take that advice? Of course not, but still good advice.
Nelson is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Barbara Brasuell, and Brother Troy Brasuell.
He is survived by his Daughters, Rachael Black and Desiree Brasuell; Brothers, Ray Brasuell and Crystal Thompson, Paul Brasuell, Mike Brasuell and Mel Brasuell and Larry Brasuell; Sister, Mary Brasuell; Grandkids, Garrett Dye, Jr, Jamarques Dye, Michael Brasuell, Alayiah Bailey, Jonah Bailey, Xavier Brasuell, Shauntez Brasuell and Wroyal Edmundson; along with countless neices and nephews and his beloved dog Sassy.
