She passed away on Sunday, December 10th at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 90.
Betty grew up on the family farm in Strong City, Oklahoma. She graduated from Cheyenne High School, where she excelled at playing basketball. Betty married Stanley Lamb on December 2nd, 1951 and they enjoyed sixty-nine years of marriage before Stanley’s passing in 2021.
Betty was an extremely talented artist. Her award-winning paintings have been featured in many art galleries and shows and she also made porcelain dolls and other crafts. Betty taught art classes to many over the years.
Betty was a woman of great faith in the Lord. She was determined that her family be saved by grace through faith in God and was always glad to share her testimony with friends and family. Betty served with Stanley in many churches, the last being their current church, Trinity Fellowship in Sayre, Oklahoma.
Visitation will be 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Martin-Dugger Funeral Home, Elk City, Oklahoma.
Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 15, 2023, at Trinity Fellowship, Sayre, Oklahoma. Mark Haney will officiate. Services have been entrusted to the care of Richard and Tammy Dugger and the staff of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; parents; four sons, LaMar, Greg, Glen and Gary Lamb; four brothers, George, Bob, Harold, and Gary Scott and two sisters, Billie Vincent and Lonna Long.
Betty is survived by one son, Joe Lamb and wife, Julie of Cedar Lake, Oklahoma; one daughter-in-law, Cindy Lamb, of Lawton, Oklahoma, ten grandchildren, plus several bonus grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
