Sayre had four possessions in the first half but three of those ended in fumbles. Sayre kicked off to Texoma to start the game and after the Eagle defense throttled the Red Devils on the first 3 plays Texoma was forced to punt on fourth down. The Texoma punt was the only punt by either team in the entire game and it was for 28 yards to put Sayre on offense for the first time in the contest at their own 28 yard line. From the 28 the Eagles mounted a 72 yard drive to paydirt in 13 plays. Zeke Curtis put the ball into the end zone on a seven yard rush. Jaden Mosser ran across the 2 point conversion to give Sayre an 8 to 0 lead with 3:50 left in the first quarter.

The Eagle defense had to keep the Devils at bay when the next 3 Sayre possessions ended in fumbles to close out the first half. Hanrahan made his first interception midway through the second quarter.

Sayre received the second half kickoff and proceeded to march seventy two yards for a TD in nine plays with Jaden Mosser scoring on a one yard slant. The PAT failed and Sayre led 14-0. Hanrahan picked off his second interception following the ensuing kickoff on Texomas third play from scrimmage. Sayre took advantage and covered 66 yards in 7 plays to put up their third touchdown of the evening. Sayres power driving running back Ayden Hendershot got loose for the TD on a 14 yard run while shedding a gang of Devils in the process. J. Mosser ran across the PAT and Sayre led 22 to 0 with 1:12 left in the third quarter.

On the ensuing kickoff Diego Hernandez stormed 46 yards to the Eagle 29 before Hendershot ran him down. The Eagle defense came up strong again as they denied the Red Devils from capitalizing on the run back and stalled the drive at the Sayre 23.

After 3 fumbles in the first half, the Eagles gave up the football on their fourth fumble on the following possession at the Texoma 33. But Hanrahan performed his third interception in the game on the Devils second play from scrimmage and returned it 35 yards to the Texoma 21 yard line. Hendershot got the call 4 straight times to put the ball into the end zone on a one yard plunge behind an entire game outstanding performance by the Sayre offensive line consisting of Deontaye Thomas, Parker Harrell, Cade Renner, Nevan Bailey and KK Beaird. Added blocking to form the Eagle offensive wedge came from Zane Allen, Zeke Curtis and Jaden Mosser. Hunter Hanrahan ran across the PAT and the score was 30 to 0 with 5:48 left in the game.

Texoma avoided a shut-out when they took the ensuing kickoff and drove the ball to the end zone in 9 plays. The TD was a one yard run by QB Colton Roper who also ran for the PAT giving a final score of 30 to 8.

In spite of the 4 fumbles, Sayre ran a well controlled offense giving Ayden Hendershot the clearance he needed to put up his first 200 plus rushing yard game. He also crossed over the 1000 yards mark in aseason. Heendedwith229 yards on 29 carries for 7.9 yard per carry average. The Eagle defense was probably the main reason for the offenses success when they gave up only 6 of the 10 first downs by Texoma in the first 3 1/2 quarters in spite of the 4 Eagle fumbles. Texoma got their only TD in the last 3 minutes of the game. The Eagle season record is now 3 wins 5 loses. Texoma has a record of 4 wins 5 loses. The final game of the season for the Eagles will be at Sayre against BFDC. BFDC defeated the Eagles 58 to 16 last year.
