Daylight Savings time comes to an end as we “fall back” this coming Sunday, 11/5, at 2:00 a.m. this year. I never did recover from losing the hour in the spring, so I am ready for this!
The Junior Thanksgiving Dinner is being held on Sunday, 11/12, from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. with local deliveries included and take outs also. Tickets are on sale now for ages 12 years through adults at $12.00, children ages 5-11, at $7.00 each and children 4 and under are free.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Patricia (Pat) Pair. Services were held this past Friday, 10/27, at the Church of Christ in Weatherford, with a graveside service here in the Erick Cemetery.
Prayers also go out to the family of William “Billy” Umsted of Mobeetie,TX. ServiceswereheldattheCornerstoneChurchin Wheeler, TX, on this past Saturday, 10/28.
Sincere sympathy is being sent out to the family of Cynthia Ann Maddox Conner. No details were given at the time of this column.
