On October 13, an arrest warrant was issued for a Wewoka man in the Beckham County District Court after being charged with first-degree burglary and use of a firearm while committing a felony.
Larry Don Nuckols has a preset bond of $15,000.
The investigation began on October 6 by an Elk City Police Department detective whom the Oklahoma Department advised of Human Services about a child abuse referral.
The detective was advised that the ex-boyfriend of the alleged victim had entered their home at approximately 4 am.
Nuckols was reportedly identified as the ex-boyfriend.
Nuckols allegedly approached the alleged victim’s bedroom door and attempted to break into the home.
The alleged victim reportedly awoke, assuming the noise came from a child within the home.
They opened the door and reportedly realized it was Nuckols.
“He was allegedly yelling he was going to kill her new boyfriend and waving a handgun at her and the other male,” the detective wrote.
The detective was able to speak to Nuckols by phone.
During the call, Nuckols reportedly confessed to driving three hours to Elk City from Wewoka to pick up clothes.
Nuckols allegedly claimed he only came into the house to tell the alleged victim that he had removed the clothes from the dryer.
“Nuckols stated he acted like he pulled the trigger and intended for the male to leave. He claims he only put the gun in his back pocket to begin with when he got to her residence in case a dog came in,” the detective wrote.
