Sisterhood Conference Comes to Grandview Church

Eyes up, armor up, and rise up for the Sisterhood Women’s Conference that will take place Saturday, Oct. 21st, at Grandview Church, located at the corner of Pioneer and Country Club. Registration is open for the daylong event that will host three guest speakers: Amber Castleman, Kailee Childers, and Martha Fouts.

Eyes up, armor up, and rise up for the Sisterhood Women’s Conference that will take place Saturday, Oct. 21st, at Grandview Church, located at the corner of Pioneer and Country Club. Registration is open for the daylong event that will host three guest speakers: Amber Castleman, Kailee Childers, and Martha Fouts.

Pre-registration is $35. There will be five breakout sessions, and lunch will also be provided. Registration, coffee and donuts, and the Sisterhood Boutique will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Session 1 is from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., with a break from 11:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Breakout sessions will resume at 11:15 a.m. and run until noon. Lunch and mini sessions will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Session 2 starts at 1:30 p.m. and runs until 3 p.m.

Amanda Wood will be speaking about the impact of sexual abuse from mother and daughter perspectives. Jolie Hicks’ talk will be called “Because of You.” She will address the church and how people can love and care for each other, bringing peace and truth into the darkness, and Anne Bliss will talk about going from Grief to Peace. She will address how to go through an unspeakable loss, and how God carried her through it.

Misty Musick’s talk will include “4 Things to Avoid if You Want a Strong Marriage.” She will address ways to make a marriage healthier and safeguard relationships. The last session is by Renee Kilhoffer and Season Kilhoffer who will journey into recovery from eating disorders and addiction. This mother/daughter duo will address what was helpful and what wasn’t throughout the addiction process.
