The Beckham County Record previously reported on a “Be on the Lookout”, or BOLO, issued in Beckham County related to an alleged violent crime that had reportedly occurred in Greer County.

In that case, charges were filed in Greer District Court on September 12 against a 30-year-old Sayre woman, Samantha Jane Brookshire, and a 33-year-old Lexington man.

Samantha Jane Brookshire was charged with first-degree robbery and feloniously pointing a firearm.

Cameron Carter Clowdus was charged with accessory after the fact.

The investigation began at approximately 3:55 am on September 9 when the Greer County dispatcher received a call from Beckham County deputies, who had gotten a report of an alleged armed robbery that “may have happened in Greer County.”

The alleged crime reportedly happened only approximately 1.5 to 2 miles into Greer County.

The alleged victim stated that she had been riding around with Brookshire, Clowdus, and another passenger.

The third passenger has not been charged with any crime, so his name is being withheld.

The alleged victim reportedly stated that Brookeshire started “interrogating her.”

The alleged victim then reportedly stated that Brookeshire began punching her before cocking a gun and placing it to her head.

The alleged victim reportedly stated that Brookeshire also struck her with a gun.

She then alleged that Brookeshire demanded her phone before the group left her in the country.

The alleged victim walked to a nearby home.

Brookeshire is being held on a $200,000 bond in the Greer County Detention Center.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Clowdus.
