A 32-year-old Lawton man has been released on a $5,000 bond after being charged with felony officer obstruction and putting bodily fluids on a peace officer, as well as driving under the influence and transporting an open container.

On September 3, Elk City Police Department officers were dispatched to South Washington near Elk City Lake upon reports of a woman yelling for help.

The woman was also reportedly yelling that someone was “drunk.”

Officers learned that this was related to a wrecked Honda.

The Beckham County Sheriff’s Office was on scene assisting.

Upon arrival, the reporting ECPD officer found that the BCSO deputy already had Alexander Paige Redhat in handcuffs.

Redhat allegedly appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.

Redhat had reportedly refused the State’s Implied Consent Test.

During this time, Redheat allegedly spit at or upon an officer.

Redhat also allegedly ran from an officer, but tripped during his run.

After he reportedly fell, the officer was able to detain him.

Within his car, officers allegedly found opened and unopened Keystone beer cans.
