OK CareerTech State Director Brent Haken recently came to visit Western Technology Center and had the opportunity to tour the WTC-Burns Flat and WTC-Weatherford campuses. Western Technology Center is one of the 29 technology centers part of the Oklahoma CareerTech system offering training programs and services across the state.
Before Director Haken left WTC’s tour, it was asked of him what his takeaways were from viewing and hearing about WTC’s “western way”. Haken’s takeaways: the emphasis we put on curriculum how we focus on meeting the needs of our communities and district grateful for the opportunity to see our school better understanding of how decisions he makes could affect our school.
One of Director Haken’s goals since becoming the State Director 7 months ago is to visit each technology center in Oklahoma. Oklahoma’s CareerTech system is known nationwide for being a proactive workforce solution and Western Technology Center is committed to “educating people for success”!
