Fan Appreciation Night at Elk City Motorsports Park

In addition to some great competition, the crowd of almost 400 newborns to 80 year olds enjoyed a 'Meet & Greet' with the racers on the front stretch. For over 30 minutes during the intermission, kids and adults collected candy, sponsor swag, t-shirts and autographs from their favorite drivers. The event was a huge success as we saw lots of big smiles from fans and teams alike. RESULTS: Clinton, Oklahoma's Robert Elliott dominated the 20 lap, Sooner Ltd. Modified Series feature. Starting on the pole in front of 18 entries, Elliott drove the #09 into the lead at the drop of the green flag and never relinquished the position, finishing 1.4 seconds ahead of 2nd place Austin Bonner. A veteran racer with numerous wins and thousands of laps under his belt, this was Robert's 2nd victory at Elk City Motorsports Park since the track reopened last year. In addition to his success with this regional series, Elliott also sits 5th in USRA Ltd. Mod. championship points out of 47 competitors at the track. After a string of bad luck earlier in the season, Crawford, Oklahoma's Adam Pearson is on a roll in the ECMP Factory Stock division. Right at the start, Pearson charged into the lead from his 2nd place starting position and had to fight off Altus's #3L, Chris Linares (finished 2nd) and Elk City's Darren Stehr (3rd place) late in the race to snag his 2nd win of the year at ECMP. The victory is Adam's 2nd in a row after another hard fought win on Aug.18th. After9events,Adamcurrently sits 4th (out of 60 racers) in the ECMP Factory Stock championship points. In the USRA Tuner class, the current division points leader from Iowa Park, TX, Kollin Teafatiller in the #14K, continued to flex his dominance over consistent second place finisher, Michael Reyes, out of Shamrock, TX. The teenager Teafatiller wired the field, leading all laps to add to his points lead.
