Sayre Varsity Defeat Watonga

Laney Easter collected three hits in four at bats, as Sayre Varsity Lady Eagles defeated Watonga 11-7 on Monday. Easter doubled in the first inning, singled in the second inning, and singled in the fourth inning.

Sayre Varsity Lady Eagles jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Easter doubled, scoring two runs, Gracie Myers doubled, scoring one run, and one run scored on another play.

Sayre Varsity Lady Eagles added one run in the second. Easter singled, making the score 5-1.

An error extended the Sayre Varsity Lady Eagles lead to 7-1 in the top of the third inning. Raine Rippetoe led things off in the circle for Sayre Varsity Lady Eagles. The righty allowed seven hits and seven runs (two earned) over seven innings, striking out five and walking six. #7 started the game for Watonga. The starting pitcher gave up 16 hits and 12 runs (eight earned) over seven innings, striking out one and walking four.
