City of Sayre employee recognized by state for 25 years of service

The Sayre City Council recently awarded longtime employee Clyde “Pete” Lisbon for his remarkable 26 years of service to the city.

The Sayre City Council recently awarded longtime employee Clyde “Pete” Lisbon for his remarkable 26 years of service to the city.

During that time, the city has made numerous improvements while adjusting to working with ever-changing technology.

Sayre City Manager Guy Hylton that Lison has received recognition from the Oklahoma Municipal League for reaching over 25 years of service.

Lisbon has previously worked at the golf course and McKennon.

“He oversees all outside work in Sayre,” Brenda Quinn said.

Quinn added, “I think he should be acknowledged for his many years of service. It is hard to imagine the city working so well without Pete. He is truly a gift to the community.”
