Sayre Library and Friends of the Library News

Friends of the Sayre Public Library had their 1st Annual Mother Son Dance August 5 held at the Sayre Methodist Church. We cannot thank the church enough for their continued support and we cannot thank the community enough for supporting us as well. These events wouldn’t be possible without you! This year’s Mother Son Dance theme was You Are My Superhero and everyone had a blast! Even our super surprise guests! A huge thank you to them for making everyone’s evening and a big thank you to Loret Photography. Our next event will be our Fall Festival which will be September 30 at the Methodist Church. Monies made at this event benefit Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. More information to come very soon!

The Library had a great turn out for our annual Back 2 School party. Patrons enjoyed hot dogs, beverages, and tasty treats along with many families receiving needed school supplies. We love being able to help out the community whenever the opportunity arises. Coming up events at the library will be Story Time, August 24 at 4pm and Lego Club, August 31 at 3pm. As always, new books coming in each week. We hope you’ll stop in and say hello!
