Tony P.

I was born in Wheeler, Texas, and have lived in western Oklahoma for most of my life. Raised primarily in rural Roger Mills county, I naturally gravitated toward hunting and fishing as my preferred pastimes. I also developed a love for gardening, which I continue to this day. Graduating in 1991 from Reydon High School, I amassed many scholastic awards including 1st place in Trigonometry at the Southwestern Interscholastic Meet in 1991. I chose to further my education at SWOSU. After working towards a degree in Engineering Physics for a while, I completed a BS in Psychology in 1999, and a Master’s in education in 2005. I entered the substance abuse counseling field in 1999. I taught many classes on many topics to people of all backgrounds. I also have many hours of continuing education and supervision for certification, stopping just short of completing requirements for LPC. I left the counseling field in 2005 for a newly ramping up oilfield. The next 10 years were spent in field activity engaging in geological, and hydrocarbon analysis, for many of the biggest oil companies in Oklahoma. In 2010, my wife, Heidi Pierce, and I blended our family together officially, started our own oilfield service company known as Orion Mudlogging. We had a very successful run in the company, employing as many as 20 mudloggers at our peak. However, we were forced to close our doors in 2018 due to slow down leading to very little work, and some serious health issues for me. Fortunately, blending our families was much more successful. We raised 5 kids together to point of graduating high school. Tim, Matt, Taya, Tristan and Cassie are all doing great today. We decided to have a child together in 2016, and Jonathan was born on Halloween 2016. Another health problem set me back again earlier this year, but family and determination has pulled me through once again. It’s been a long recovery, with a few setbacks, but I am ready to bring my love for math, and a very eclectic background of work/ education to our students here at Erick Public Schools.

Tina Clayton

I’m Tina Clayton, a proud parent of four amazing children - two boys and two girls. One of my daughters will be joining me at Erick high school where I’ll be coaching the girls’ basketball team.

Since 2014, I have been coaching AAU basketball and leading both boys and girl’s teams to multiple state and national championships. I take immense pride in the fact that several of my former players have received basketball scholarships to college. Basketball has been an indispensable part of my life, and I have imparted the same fervor to my children by coaching them in the gym and mentoring them to become the extraordinary young adults they are today.

As the new girls’ basketball coach, my focus is on supporting each player individually while prioritizing the team’s success. I strive to build self-confidence, develop sevant leadership, and enhance their basketball IQ. My goal is to improve skills and instill a love for the game.

Additionally, as your new history teacher, I am committed to fostering a positive classroom environment by building strong relationships with my students, setting high expectations, and positively impacting student learning. this is my fi rst year teaching independently, and I am eager to embrace this new challenge.

My family and I are delighted to be part of the Bearcat community. Thank you for welcoming us warmly!
