Beckham County Sheriff Derek Manning credited the Beckham County Sheriff’s Office app for quickly alerting the public to a burglary in progress and assisting in leading law enforcement to their believed suspects According to a probable cause affidavit filed in Beckham County District Court, three suspects in the case have been arrested.
They are Diamond Jade Ganaway of Elk City, Anthony Vincent Hernandez, and Michael Gene Edwards of Sayre.
Ganaway and Hernandez are charged with second-degree burglary, knowingly possessing stolen property and conspiracy. Edwards is charged with second-degree burglary and knowingly possessing stolen property.
On July 21, BCSO Undersheriff Jeff Miller advised the deputies of an anonymous tip from the BCSO mobile app.
“The tip stated there was a green truck filled with multiple stolen items in the back of the truck. The tip stated it came from a house in the county,” the reporting deputy wrote.
Law enforcement quickly learned the location and that Hernandez and Ganaway were “staying back and forth” at a home in Elk City.
A camper that was allegedly missing from the burglarized home was also reportedly at Elk City Lake.
Edwards allegedly admitted to being at the burglarized home.
The camper reportedly matched the VIN number of the stolen camper.
Alleged stolen property recovered from Edwards, and identified by the victims.
