In the heart of the small school (classes 3A-4A) volleyball community, one name stands out – Chloe Nelson. Representing Corn Bible Academy (CBA), Nelson recently earned the esteemed honor of playing in the 2023 Volleyball All-State game, showcasing her exceptional talent and unwavering dedication on the court.
Over her impressive 4-year varsity career, Nelson has proven herself as a true force to be reckoned with. Accumulating an astonishing 323 kills, 1150 digs, and 153 service aces, she has consistently demonstrated her versatility and skill, making her a vital asset for the CBA team.
Coach Basinger, Nelson’s high school coach says, “Chloe’s mental toughness and consistency at the serving line has always been impressive. She has been our most reliable player and set a great example for her team as a hard worker.” Twice during her high school journey, she single-handedly served the entire set, leading her team to astounding victories of 15-0 and 25-0. The most memorable instance occurred in last season’s Regionals, where CBA faced off against Chouteau. With Nelson’s powerful and precise serves, the team achieved a stunning 25-0 triumph, earning her several aces along the way.
Recently, the small school All-State game brought together the best athletes from various communities, and Nelson’s talent shone brightly. In a thrilling match-up, the East managed to secure two sets and ultimately clinched the win.
As she bids farewell to CBA and embarks on a new journey after high school, there is no doubt that Chloe Nelson’s star will continue to rise. Her journey has only just begun, and the future holds endless possibilities for this exceptional student athlete.
Congratulations, Chloe Nelson, on your All-State honor and a stellar high school volleyball career. Your contributions have left a permanent mark on Corn Bible Academy’s legacy, and we eagerly await witnessing your bright future! #Saders.
