The next Block Party will take place Friday, Aug. 4th, at 7 p.m., in “The Block” at down town Elk City. This will be a meet and greet of the first responders, which include Elk City Police Department, the Elk City Fire Department, and Elk City EMT’s. The local police and fire responders will be on hand to meet throughout the evening. The Great Plains Regional Medical Center trailer will also be at the Block Party at 7 p.m., to introduce the newest specialists for the Elk City community and surrounding areas. Those include Donald. D Lesslie III, D.O. who specializes in general surgery, M.L. Henry III, M.D., specializing in urology, and Edward Zoobylak, M.D., who specializes in neurology. The hospital will be hosting a drawing to win tickets for an OU or OSU football game. This will also be the “No Tax” weekend, and merchants will be staying open for families to stock up on back-toschool clothing. While shopping, be sure to take advantage of the local vendor booths and food trucks. Additionally, there will be live music for all to enjoy.
