A 35-year-old Elk City woman and a 34-year-old Elk City man have been charged with child neglect.
Odessa Gonzalez and Joshua Woolworth were officially charged in Beckham County District Court on June 19.
On June 7, an alleged sexual assault was called into the Elk City Police Department involving a juvenile female.
The suspect was reportedly identified as Joshua Woolworth.
On June 9, the investigating ECPD detective learned that the alleged victim was forensically interviewed and “there was a sexual assault disclosure.”
“Your affidavit knows during the course of the investigation that Odessa White (Gonzales) knew about the sexual assault allegations against her boyfriend Joshua Woolworth and allowed him back into the residence that same night,” the detective alleged.
The affidavit includes other details from the alleged crime that are being withheld from this reporting.
“Your affiant knows from the investigation that Odessa and Joshua both disclosed schedule I and V narcotics inside the residence,” the detective stated, adding that two juveniles live within the residence.
“Odessa disclosed that she gives marijuana to her children inside the residence even though she cannot obtain a second doctor to approve the children for the medical marijuana,” the detective wrote.
Gonzalez also allegedly confessed that she had known in the past that her other children had been abused but failed to report those situations to law enforcement.
Both suspects have been released from the Beckham County Detention Center, but bond information is not available at this time.
