Merritt Shock claimed a 10-5 victory on Sunday, despite a big push by Dirty birds in the first inning. Dirty birds’s big inning was driven by a single by Weston and a double by Bryton.

Merritt Shock got on the board in the first inning. Merritt Shock scored two runs when Grayson S singled.

Dirty birds knotted the game up at three in the bottom of the first inning, when Weston singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Merritt Shock pulled away for good with three runs in the second inning. In the second Cashon W singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run and Baylor H tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Merritt Shock scored three runs in the fifth inning. Mac F, Waylon C, and Easton M all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Briggs N toed the rubber for Merritt Shock. The pitcher went four innings, allowing five runs on nine hits, striking out eight and walking one.

Merritt Shock collected 19 hits on the day. Xavier S, Mac, Grayson, Easton, Baylor, Briggs D, Dax C, and Braden L all managed multiple hits for Merritt Shock. Xavier led Merritt Shock with three hits in three at bats. Merritt Shock was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Grayson had the most chances in the field with ten.
