Sunshine and smiles all the way around for golfers and members of Sayre Kiwanis Club on Saturday, May 27th at Sayre National Golf Course. “This is our biggest fundraiser for the year,” says tournament chairperson Craig Puckett, “we closed out with twenty-six two-man teams. This could not have happened without the support of our loyal and amazing sponsors”.
The tournament began with a short introduction and explanation of the importance of Memorial Day and a prayer by club member Walt Jackson. A great lunch consisting of hamburgers, brats and hotdogs were grilled up by members Keith Carter, Wayne Wheeler and Gary Manning. Carl Don Campbell took on the task of tournament flight assignments while Jimmy Clark managed the course conditions.
Winners of the tournament were as follows: Flight 1 First Place was Justin Barrick and Tanner Underwood; Second Place Quinton Nichols and Brent Nichols; Third Place went to Cole HammondandCooperBarrick. Flight2First Place was Jeff Brown and Robert Sheppard; Second Place Jeff Rule and Jeff Donaghey; Third Place went to Stan Perry and Mark Boswell. Flight 3 First Place was Phil Beck and Wayne Robinson; Second Place Kody Tucker and Billy Haas; Third Place went to Kody Kilgore and Mitchell Gardner.
